Amy Jellings

Amy Jellings is Bright Oak’s senior Client-Care Manager. Amy’s previous career is uniquely valuable to the balance of our team; she worked for seven years within a major national debt collection operation where she was a Team Leader. Amy holds the Edexcel approved Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Debt Resolution. Amy is primarily responsible for sharing best-practice with her colleagues about how to effectively work with lenders to secure agreements that are of benefit to our clients and their creditors. Amy also takes responsibility for managing the debt management plans of a significant number of our existing clients.

Amy joined Bright Oak as she wished to change her professional emphasis from representing a lender to representing people seeking ways to deal with their debts.

“Clients are often worried and stressed by the way they are being chased by those they have borrowed from. My experience is that lenders know that some people, generally through no fault of their own, can find themselves unable to make their contractual debt repayments. These lenders have systems and processes to enable people to repay debt at a rate they can afford if the situation is properly explained and documented”.

Amy also advises new enquirers about the options open to them.

“As the representative of a lender it was my role to ensure that my employer was repaid what they had lent. As a debt advisor I can offer the bigger picture; my role is to ensure that my client understands all of the options open to them and that I can intervene professionally to deliver outcomes that are acceptable to both parties”.

Amy also represents Bright Oak on a number of associated websites where she assists visitors by answering their questions about debt and debt solutions.
